a new year, new cycle, new point of pause is upon us. even as many of us are conscious of not suggesting the Gregorian calendar the sole measure of time, for most of the world, it’s become a time of reflection on a year gone by and preparation for the one to come, including our ofttimes short-lived resolutions.
the past month was full of transitions that were, for me — ever the introvert that happens to speak publicly — unspeakable thus far. still, I’m grateful for every person who takes the time to read these words, scan the stories, and hopefully benefit from a share or two of what moves me. I’m grateful for a platform to say directly, simply: thank you.
as I do my own reflection on what works and what it’s time to revise or release, we share this retrospective of Rev5 in its first iteration. the next issue will benefit from what we’ve learned YOU as readers are most moved by. this phat issue of what you said some favorites were has a lot here, so grab a cup and a corner of leisure and do the one thing, I’ve exhorted in all kinds of ways all year: just return.
may this year return to your ease and beauty in measure with the loss and pain.
may your efforts to place compassion in the stead of indifference return unshakeable faith in choosing your way.
may love to return a thousand-fold for each breath you give and take as a choice to be in the exchange of life.
may this ever be so?
